Hello, I’m Suzy

I’m based in Edmundston, New Brunswick.
In 2016, I chose to end blackouts, rough mornings, and the negative impact that alcohol had on my life. That journey led me to explore various approaches and develop a deep understanding of alcohol use issues.
Over time, I realized that in addiction work, there is no one-size-fits-all solution. Every person, every relationship with alcohol, and every journey is different — and solutions must be tailored to that reality.
Today, as a registered social worker trained in addiction, I support adults who are questioning their drinking and want to begin making changes — in a professional, confidential, and non-judgmental environment.
I look forward to meeting you soon to talk about strategies over a cup of tea.

About me

Who are my services for?

  • For people who wish to reduce or stop their alcohol consumption

  • For sober people wishing to maintain their sobriety

  • For people experiencing difficulties related to alcohol (work, health, relationships)

  • To the family and loved ones of the person who uses drugs in order to better understand addiction and equip themselves.

Currently, my services are offered in person in downtown Edmundston to clients in Quebec, New Brunswick, and Maine, and via videoconference to clients residing in the
New Brunswick only.

Rates

The fee is $150 per 60-minute session. Please note that consultation fees are tax-exempt as they are considered medical expenses.

This amount covers a personalized assessment, follow-up tailored to your needs, and access to a respectful and confidential environment.

Payment can be made by Interac e-Transfer, cash or credit card.

Late policy

If you happen to be late, the appointment will be shortened. Out of respect for other clients, the appointment will end at the scheduled time and the fee will be paid in full.

Insurance

You will receive a receipt after each appointment. Most private insurance plans cover social work consultations provided by social workers with a bachelor's degree. Check with your insurer.

In addition, the costs can be claimed as medical expenses on your provincial income tax return.

*My services are not covered by Blue Cross

Cancellation Policy

If you wish to cancel an appointment, it would be greatly appreciated if I were notified as soon as possible.

If you do not show up for the appointment you have scheduled, you will be charged for the entire session.
